Jontay Porter Deserves More Caping
If he declared for the 2018 draft class, he'd be almost certainly the youngest prospect in the class, currently has a per-40 line of 13.0 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 3.9 apg, 2.0 spg, and 3.8 bpg on 55.6/29.7/85.2 splits, and his jumper certainly passes the eye test of improving on that 29.7% from three. He currently has turnover trouble and has the explosiveness of a Gregorian chant festival but why shouldn't he be at minimum a top 20 prospect? His age and skill combo is too rare.
My favorite weird draft stat is that Jontay has a higher block rate than Daniel Gafford. I really want to see how he plays now that he's a starter, and I think his standing reach measurement is going to be important for his defensive success or failure in the NBA.
Jaren Jackson had a career best 27 points in his most recent outing vs Minnesota, but it was his passing flashes that should interest you most. Jackson is improving at a terrifying rate, with his perimeter playmaking the latest indicator of his growth: https://t.co/aliNnfuOnR
